Dietary requirements and food safety

Hella Mallow gourmet marshmallows are mostly dairy free and gluten free sweet treats. Each product’s ingredients are listed on their product page, and on packaging. Find out which flavours suit your dietary needs.

General ingredients for marshmallows

All Hella Mallow gourmet marshmallows are made with:

  • caster sugar
  • water
  • glucose syrup
  • gelatine (derived from beef).

Using gelatine means the marshmallows are not vegetarian or vegan. However, some people have a personal preference to eat marshmallows.

I’m continually recipe testing to come up with recipes that are suitable for different dietary requirements.

Are Hella Mallow marshmallows made fresh to order?

Our philosophy is to make as many orders as possible fresh to order.

During busy ordering periods such as Christmas and other holidays, I might keep a small amount of pre-made stock. You will be notified in your order, if you’re receiving marshmallows that are from back stock.

All Hella Mallow are labelled with their ‘consume by’ dates. Take note of these so they taste their best when you choose to eat them.

All market stock is made 7 days or less before the market date to ensure there is enough marshmallows for you to buy.

What is the shelf life of Hella Mallow marshmallows?

All Hella Mallows are packaged in heat sealed packaging to ensure they’re fresh for as long as possible before opening.

Hella Mallows are best eaten within 2 weeks of receiving your order, however, if they remain unopened, they can remain fresh for 6 weeks or longer.
